This station to station walk through the Essex countryside is a real delight. You will be following field paths and quiet country lanes as you pass four pubs and some beautiful properties along the way. Also combined with great views makes this an ideal family walk. Depending on the time of year, you could visit the East Anglian Railway museum located at Chappel and Wakes Colne station before you start the walk (see website for opening times).
A few of the paths through the farmer's fields haven't been maintained or signposted but noting the directional arrows on the waymark photos and the walk instructions, you will be fine (April 2023).
