A superb country walk on footpaths, bridleways and country lanes in the beautiful Cotswolds. From the large, historic and interesting village of Charlbury, the route soon takes one of the ancient tracks that abound in this area, giving a lovely outlook over the surrounding countryside. The woodland paths are a frequent feature, around Wychwood Forest, once one of England's largest Royal Forests. The village of Stonesfield is skirted on the way to the tiny setting of Fawler and another fine track ensues for the last part of the journey back to Charlbury. Pleasant scenes, often from high points overlooking the valley below and the fields and forests beyond, make this a wonderfully visual experience.
