Starting from the attractive village of Cherington, the route to Little Wolford is wonderfully scenic and beautiful. The walk follows footpaths, bridleways and quiet country lanes, passing homesteads and outlying farms in this lovely Cotswold Area of Outstanding Beauty. Mature trees stand majestically in the parkland of Weston, and pockets of woodland can be seen often. Little Wolford is another very attractive village where time seems to have stood still, and is a pleasure to walk through and observe. Brailes Hill, a distinctive landmark in this area, is often in view, and the quiet, observant walker can expect to spot deer at close quarters along the way. This is an altogether appealing little walk for the country lover.

Great walk completed in November '24. We parked at the church in the village. There's a small amount of road at the start but its not too troublesome as there's a footpath. The walk is across a lot of fields, if it has been raining make sure your boots are waterproof as the mud and grass can be very wet. We took a slight detour on the walk. When entering the last field for point 12, rather than heading up to the corner, we headed off to the right to pick up another path and go through a gate in the middle of the hedge, then in the next field bear to the right. Following this path comes out on the road where the church is in the village at the start. In doing this, the road back at point 12 is missed out. Just a personal preference as we had a map and the ability to navigate back to the car. I personally think it's a better ending to the walk.
