An excellent short circular walk for some gentle exercise in the countryside; most of the footpaths are alongside fields of crops, and there are no animals. The paths are well used and easy to follow, with a couple of old steel kissing gates, a couple of stiles and some stone snickets and no bridges. You’ll pass the village church at the start of the walk, and the village duck pond near the end - well, more of a small lake than a pond (see photo on the right). There are no slopes and it is quite easy walking.

The walk is suitable for children, senior citizens and anyone in-between. Excellent for dogs, but hopeless for wheelchairs & buggies due to the kissing gates and stiles. Suitable footwear will be anything flat soled will but boots will be best in winter or after recent heavy rain as paths may be a bit muddy; and shorts should be avoided as you can expect close encounters with nettles walking along the path past the church. On your route there are no refreshments, cafés, picnic tables or bench seats; but there will be shops in the village at the start and finish, and toilets, drinks and food at the pub. If you book in advance you should be able to get a good meal with a drink; an excellent finish to a good walk.
