You head out from Chew Magna across fields, passing a castellated house to get to Chew Valley Lake, a birding and sailing tourist attraction locally (as well as a supply of water!) From here cross Knowle Hill and more fields to get to Stanton Drew with its stone circle. Then take the lane back to the start.

Excellent, varied and interesting walk with very clear directions and not too muddy even in February. The 2 barriers mentioned are like stiles without a crossing board to step on. The electric fence was still there in Feb 2023 (!), but quite easy to step over.
