Starting from the lovely old market town of Chipping Norton, this walk visits two small picturesque villages, Over Norton and Salford. The route is often on hard tracks, but always accompanied with superb scenes in this most appealing and unspoilt Cotswold area. There are sites of historical interest along the way, the first before leaving Chipping Norton, where a castle once stood; and at Salford, near the church, the remains of an old cross and another a little further along. The walk reaches a height of 207 metres, giving splendid views over glorious countryside. An excellent walk in every way and an easy-to-follow route.
