The walk is all on pavements or good tracks except for the path from WP05 to WP06 and this can be avoided by walking up the pavement back to Chirk. The Aqueduct is a feat of engineering and is often overshadowed by Telfords other Aqueduct at Pont Cystyllte near Llangollen. At Chirk there is also a viaduct and a tunnel to enjoy.
