Situated between Mold and Ruthin, this walk starts from the tiny village of Cilcain and goes up onto one of the finest upland walks in North Wales, straddling the Flintshire / Denbighshire border. From Moel Arthur across to Moel Famau the view in all directions is one to be savoured. This includes Merseyside, Snowdonia as far as Cadair Idris, across Cheshire to Staffordshire and down the Wales / Shropshire border. It is all on good paths with a short, steep walk up to the top, then it is gently undulating ground thereafter. This is a great day out, culminating with the Jubilee Tower on the summit of Meol Famau.
