A linear walk starting at Clacton-on-Sea station and terminating at Great Bentley station. After passing through Clacton Town with it's array of shops and amusement arcades you arrive at the pier which you can visit before turning right along the sea front for nearly a mile passing cafes and the Martello Tower. From here you soon turn inland following residential roads, across Clacton Airstrip, through a caravan park, field paths, through a few farms, and the last section of the walk is along quiet country lanes.
Most of the paths are clear, apart from one which was slightly overgrown (July 2023) and some have the signposts missing, but following the walk instructions, you will be fine.
