Having navigated your way to the car parking, the walk route is easier to navigate. It's well-graded, only the final leg being steep. Most of the way you are in open woodland, Scots pine and birch, but there are lots of viewpoints. The top of the hill is clear of trees, being heather moorland and offers uninterrupted views. Boots are advised in bad weather.
If you want to extend the walk you can take the path from the summit over to Loch nam Bonnach (NH 481481) and join Walk 2116 there; but you might need two cars for that.
