The boardwalk is a recent addition to the nature reserve. It allows access by everyone, disabled, wheelchairs, pushchairs and visually handicapped. There are information boards placed at 'passing places' along the route; each board is carved to represent each part of the boardwalk. This part of the reserve is always wet and so is rich in mosses and liverworts. Be prepared to spend time just enjoying the peace and listening to the birds. The second part of the route leaves the valley and goes up through woodland. This is also rich in bird- and plantlife but is not accessible to wheelchairs and disabled people. It is not difficult, but requires walking-boots and some degree of agility.
