A delightful scenic and very popular walk near Torridon in Wester Ross, you climb (not steeply) alongside the Coire Mhic Nobuil Burn, which has cut two gorges where there are several tributary waterfalls. The first kilometre is through a pinewood; beyond that it's bare moor, with heather, deer grass and bog myrtle and nothing to obstruct the views of the surrounding mountains. The path (a good one) is in a glacial valley, with Beinn Alligin on your left, Liathach to the right and Beinn Dearg and Beinn Eighe in front; behind there are lovely views across Loch Torridon to Applecross. With so much, your camera work will be severely tested...

This is a grand family walk in good weather (with dog). There is no shelter after the first kilometre, so bad-weather clothing should be carried. Boots are advised.

Lovely walk on a clear path. We extended it to the base of Beinn Alligin and got spectacular views across Loch Torridon. The waterfalls and burn were in full flow.
