From the station you follow a few residential roads and paths to enter Southern Slopes Country Park, then a few more roads and paths to enter Brinkley Grove Country Park and then carry straight on into Highwoods Country Park. From there you enter the grounds of Colchester Hospital and follow footpaths out into more residential roads leading back to the station.
