From the start point at Coll d'Honor on the Ma2100 NE of Bunyola, our way takes us climbing a little in a southerly direction through peaceful mixed forest of oak, pine and strawberry trees. We continue an easy ramble south from Coll des Pico and in about 2.5 kilometres we round the base of Puig Gros, enjoying some stunning scenery. Now our way turns north and before long we arrive at the recreation site of Cas Garriguer with benches, barbecues etc., a lovely spot for a break. From here we continue northwards up a narrow valley path which takes us past charcoal platforms and lime ovens, evidence of bygone forest industries (see additional information). Very soon we meet our homeward track and have the chance to divert to reach the escarpment of Penyals d'Honor. The breathtaking panoramas are more than worth the ten minutes or so it takes to get there. Returning, we continue north-east before turning eastwards to descend steeply through pine forest and rejoin our outward route. Now we simply retrace our footsteps to the start.
