The walk is in quiet countryside that is relatively free from other walkers; indeed, I met nobody at all when I did it. The going is fairly easy with few muddy places and a lot of new stiles and signposting. Views of the eastern Carneddau are excellent and there is the added interest of an isolated church on the site of the Roman Fort of Canovium.

Did this lovely easy walk today and it was everything we expected from the description. The directions and photos are truly excellent. We got a bit confused at the end of the paragraph about waymark 6 because it appears a new, additional metal gate has been installed in the last field bordering the lane - the gate referred to in the directions is in the left hand corner of this field.
