From the car park on the Devon - Somerset border, this route takes you down to and along part of the South West Coast Path before heading inland at Countisbury with its walker-friendly pub. Your next stop is the Watersmeet ancient oak woodland and tea room, followed by a very pleasant woodland riverside section of the Coleridge Way to Brendon. Here you stay with the Coleridge Way for most of your long but relatively gentle climb back up to the car park with scenic valley views.
