The walk passes through Turners Hill, which is at the highest point in Mid-Sussex and offers commanding views across the downs. It transcends to Rowfant House, dating from Elizabethan times, which has picturesque grounds and a lake. It then follows the Sussex Border Path to Copthorne and heads towards Furnace Wood, an ancient wood where an iron furnace once stood. The walk passes through woodland belonging to the Monastery of the Holy Trinity.
