Starting from Three Bridges Station (on the main London to Brighton line) the route starts on the Worth Way, a former railway and now a Site of Nature Conservation Importance. Passing close to historic Worth Church, described as one of the most perfect specimens of a Saxon building in England, there is then a total change as you enter Crawley's newest neighbourhood, Maidenbower.
Continuing on the Crawley Greenway, the route passes into Tilgate Forest and past Tilgate Lake before heading into Broadfield past Broadfield Stadium, the home of Crawley Town FC. The route continues past Broadfield and Bewbush via Target Hill and Buchan Park before heading north to Ifield Mill and Ifield Station.
