This walk uses paths across a good balance of arable land and meadows. It runs from Cretingham to Brandeston along one side of the Upper Deben Valley and returns along the other side. It is a good all-seasons walk. There is just one stile which can, in any case, be avoided by using the gate to one side of it. You may well see deer almost anywhere on this walk; their hoofprints can be seen at many points.
