Centred around the Vale of Evesham and the town it is named after, this walk follows the tranquil banks of the Avon and the gently undulating hills surrounding it. The region is well-known for its fruit and vegetable growing, and you are likely to see a huge variety of different crops growing on this walk.

The walk passes through the centre of Evesham, mostly alongside the river. You will see the Hampton Foot Ferry, that has existed for nine centuries, established by monks in the thirteenth century. It is a pedestrian chain ferry, manually operated by pulling on a cable across the river - one of only two such ferries remaining in this country. You may wish to use the ferry to reach the restaurant on the other side to stop for lunch or a drink.

Outside of the town, there is still plenty more to see on this walk. The walk starts from the Jubilee Bridge that crosses the River Avon. Two riverside villages are also visited - Cropthorne and Charlton, that are full of black-and-white timbered buildings, thatched roofs and charming pubs. And then at the end of the walk, there is an impressive weir and mill to be seen on the river opposite Fladbury.
