We begin by walking south from the reservoir car park heading for the little dam and enjoying the abundant bird life around. Osprey and red kites can be seen if we are lucky. After a fairly difficult climb to reach Col des Bosc we need to take care to identify the quite tricky path that will lead us down into the fascinating Comasema Valley. We shall visit the wonderful Font de sa Cisterna, once an important source of water and see evidence of the forest industries that were such a feature of this valley.
At the end of the relaxed and interesting valley ramble, we have first to find and then climb a difficult footpath zigzagging up to the foot of Puig de L'Ofre. This is very overgrown with grasses and is in a poor state in places. Fortunately it is well-marked with blue dots and arrows and there are cairns. When we reach Col d'en Poma a footpath goes off to reach the summit of Puig de L'Ofre. We did not do this and this hike now continues to the Col de L'Ofre and from here we shall follow the lovely way that takes us back down the Cúber Reservoir, which we shall skirt very close to its northern shore on our way back to the start.
