Although the shortest of the many walks in Daviot Wood, this is the most scenic: beautiful views, moorland, the occasional deer and buzzard. No notable gradients (rises only 10m) and the last half is a downslope.
The early part of the walk is in open coniferous woods, while the later part is on open moorland, giving uninterrupted views to north, east and west.
A cautionary word: although the new middle gate (Waymark 04) is spacious, that at the end of the walk looks narrow to me. With a wheelchair it might be best to have a look at it before venturing forth.
