A real gem of a walk from Donnington to Longborough, both Cotswold villages of outstanding beauty, in wonderful countryside which includes a large woodland area. The route also runs through meadows where there is a commemorative plaque to the Battle of Stow-on-the-Wold of 1646, the last battle of the English Civil War.

An enjoyable short ramble taking in two quiet and picturesque Cotswold villages which is ideal if you only have a couple of hours to get a walk in. I got a bit confused with the directions between Waypoints 9 and 10 until I realised that 10 describes the route we had just walked, however following the paths and map is simple enough so it wasn't really an issue. The monument to the battle of Stow is interesting and makes you wonder what the area must have witnessed all those years ago.
