Drumlanrig Castle is the seat of the Dukes of Buccleuch and Queensberry. This walk describes the 'Mount Malloch' route of about three miles through mature woods and up to a viewpoint, the descent into stately parkland and a tour of the beautiful landscaped gardens surrounding the castle. The Buccleuch Estate extends to 120,000 acres. Please note that there is a charge for admittance to the castle.
