The walk takes us around the two lakes of Druridge Bay Country Park. The first lake is the most recent of the reclamation (reclaimed 1995) and is being formed into a nature reserve. Public access down to it is limited to encourage some of the rarer species to recolonise the former East Chevington reedbeds. Future plans involve the use of hides for viewing. The second lake, Ladyburn, established for about twenty years, is people-orientated, along with the wildlife already established. Watersports can often be seen in the summer, along with activities organised by the wardens. In the winter the lake is alive with migratory birds from the Arctic, some of which are tagged and return every year.
