Dunwich Heath - Eastbridge - Minsmere River - Westleton

This walk complements several others starting from the NT site at Dunwich Heath. Leaving the sea you head inland and in due course follow the Old Minsmere River to the road near Middleton. On the return leg you pass Westleton and use paths through land in process of recoversion into heath before heading back towards the Coastguard Cottages and the sea.

The path was totally overgrown along the river between points 5 & 6 - thistles and stinging nettles. We were wearing shorts as it was a hot and dry day, and our legs got badly stung and scratched. About a mile of pain! I would avoid this walk during late summer. Shame as otherwise a nice walk.

Fabulous walk completed under a blue cloudless sky on 14 Feb. You need £5.50 in change to park at the start. No cards taken.
