Just south of Swanage is Durlston, which has a castle and a nature reserve of national importance. The walk begins at the castle with all its facilities and goes along the cliffs of the South West Coastal Path before returning along a higher and parallel route. There are few difficult places and very few stiles, while the scenery is outstanding. Flowers, birds and butterflies are in abundance, while there is also the chance of seeing aquatic and land animals.
