You pass through Dyrham Deer-park to leave via the road by the house. You briefly join the Cotswold Way before taking a footpath up to the busy A46, which you cross.

A stretch on road is followed by a byway and more footpath. You then pass through the interesting West Littleton village (with church) before more fields lead to another lane which takes you back to the A46.

Cross and soon join the Cotswolds Way following the edge of the deer-park, then going through Dyrham Village to return to the deer-park and the start.

I walked this at the weekend and it is an absolutely stunning walk. In order to walk through the grounds of Dyrham you must pay £6 per person, however the car park is free and a public footpath runs down the left-hand edge of the park, bringing you out onto the road just a little further up from waymark 4. This walk is much further than 5 miles though - our GPS garmin measured it at 7.5 miles. There are also a number of hills that were a bit challenging for some of our walkers. Be aware of cattle - there are a lot due to nearby dairy farms! Otherwise a great day out.
