This is a very enjoyable walk, mainly beside lakes formed by sand and gravel extractions, where it is a habitat for many waterbirds now; also the area has little owls, badgers, field voles and green woodpeckers. The route is along tracks and field edges and lastly beside the Old Bedford River. There is a good pub in the village that welcomes walkers.
