Earl Stonham - Stonham Aspal - Creeting St Mary - Broad Green - Earl Stonham
Suffolk doesn't really do 'challenging' walks, but this one is perhaps, as near as it gets. Vigorous and satisfying probably hits the spot. It includes a fair number of paths on uneven ground, a great many cross-field paths over the middle of crop fields (all but one had been reinstated at the time of writing) and no fewer than thirteen stiles, two of which are tricky. There's even a gradient or two. But great views are to be found along the way, there are two reasonable lengths of delightful green lane, the lovely Woolney Hall, some very friendly ponies, horses, donkeys, Highland cattle and sheep and you even pass the end of the grass landing-strip of Crowfield Airfield. At the end of the walk you will probably feel that you've had a close encounter with the Suffolk agricultural heritage. There are no pubs on the line of the walk.
