The walk starts from East Grinstead High Street with its numerous interesting and historic buildings. (The high street is about a half a mile from the railway station). After a short walk within the town we are soon out into the country, heading for Standen. The walk passes to the west, south and east of Standen, a National Trust property. The Weir Wood Reservoir is in the southern part of the walk.

Walked 11.04.2021 This is a lovely, straightforward walk with some great variety and far-reaching views. It is fairly long, but you only really feel this on the return leg. Cattle may be encountered after point 15 for a short distance, but the rest of the walk is livestock free. There are lovely views and it's a great walk so highly recommended. You can park just before waypoint 3 to avoid charges, although you need to do this on a Sunday as it is permit holders only Mon-Sat. 9/10.

Signed up for Walkingworld today and went straight out for a local walk. Very muddy in places under foot (only to be expected after all the rain) but thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next one :)
