If you like bluebells this is the walk for you! Never seen so many! (right time of year of course). Coombe Wood, North Wood and Haremere Wood were carpeted in them.

Starting from the pub in the village of East Knighton, crossing farmland, a stretch of The Purbeck Way and spending some time on The Lulworth Estate which covers some twenty square miles! Then into the tiny hamlet of Coombe Keynes, with its 22 houses and population of about eighty! Whilst here it's worth taking a short detour to look around Holy Rood Church, 700 years old, but now the village hall! Then onto a one-and-a-half-mile section of The Hardy Way, beginning with open heathland and views of The Isle of Purbeck in the distance, through the large village of Wool, shortly reaching the former atomic energy site Winfrith. Now, with the site decommissioned, the 1,300 acres are split into Dorset Green Technology Park and Dorset Police Headquarters. Walk next to the perimeter fencing for some time before going onto more heathland and back to the pub.
