This moderate walk provides views from step one; starting from a typical roadside bar, passing the small village school and up past ancient Andalucian fincas (cottages). One kilometre out you can visit the village hand laundry, where the local women still wash their clothes by hand in cold running water using stone scrubbing basins. The minor road ascends to a peak, with views to your left as you ascend. At the crest you go up a stone cart-track onto the ridge, which you will follow back down. From the ridge you will enjoy views down to Lake Iznájar, Sierras de Subbéticas, Rute, Sierra Gorda and Sierra Gibalto. The ridge starts on a defined track and passes through olive groves as it descends towards another minor road that you follow down to the Bar Los Caminos. Here you can still buy a beer for a euro and get a free tapa. When you order your drink just say "Hay (pronounced 'eye') tapitas?"
