This walk wanders through the north of the island. The landscape is varied with volcanoes, forest and (once-) cultivated fields. The walk passes some ancient guanche caves and the site of the garoe tree. The garoe tree had special significance to the islanders because it condensed the mist, thus supplying drinking water. Unfortunately, the only specimen was destroyed in a hurricane. The first part of the walk follows the Camino de la Vergen GR131 route.
