An easy walk, mostly on good tracks - not usually muddy or wet. The trees are particularly lovely in the autumn, but as there are a variety of trees in the woodland, there is interest all the year. The ruins of the Dark Hill Iron Works, designed by Davis Mushet are very interesting.

This is an excellent short walk. It is very doable with a family group on a weekend or by yourself for some quiet.
