Clowes Wood and Falls Coppice are situated half a mile west of Earlswood, with car parking provided off Wood Lane (signposted 101743). Covering an area of 110 acres, the woodland is managed by Bournville Village Trust with a regular group of volunteers who maintain the facility.

This is a short and pleasant walk of approximately three miles which, depending upon the season, is a relaxing summer's evening stroll or a challenging muddy winter ramble along clearly defined tracks and pathways. The route is best experienced in the depth of winter when the frost has set and the ground is crisp and crunchy underfoot. The route takes you through the middle of the coppice which is separated from the woods by a railway line, which you will cross at two points. The remainder of the walk follows the perimeter of Clowes Wood, making it quite flexible and once accustomed to the route you will find that you can vary your walk either within the woods or along the public footpath through the fields.

There are plenty of wildlife hotspots including nesting sparrowhawks, noisy woodpeckers and playful jays. In late spring the bluebells provide a colourful backdrop to the woods and in summer you walk through fields of wildflowers and smell the scent from the maturing sweetcorn.
