From the lovely village of Falstone with its millennium garden and jubilee drinking-fountain, we make our ascent into the woodland behind, where a short stiff climb up brings us out above the village for views over Kielder Water and the surrounding area. We descend via forest tracks back into the village where we can relax at the village pub or in the millennium garden.

We got rather confused in between points 3 and 4. There seem to be 2 streams to cross to get to the broken-down wall and the waymarker beyond the wall is missing, so we had to guess (correctly) that we wanted to head uphill.
