This walk has so much variety it makes it a pleasure to walk it. After a couple of residential roads you arrive at the sea front where you follow the sea wall with a golf course on the left until you arrive at Felixstowe Ferry where you can pop in The Ferry Boat Inn or The Ferry Cafe for refreshments. From here you will then follow a high-banked path beside salt marshes and salt flats of the River Deben before turning off through the Suffolk countryside, using field paths, quiet country lanes and stretches through woodland.
There was only one overgrown path (August 2022) at waymark 16 which also could become quite boggy in the winter months. Apart from that all the other paths are fine.
