Figheldean - Brigmerston - Around the Downs

Starting at Figheldean Village Hall, walk south-eastwards along footpaths, through Ablington and then on to Brigmerston. Turn left at the Brigmerston telephone box, cross Brigmerston Corner and follow the tarmac track, then footpath by-way to the corner of Silkhill Plantation. Follow the MoD road to avoid the danger area as far as the Old Marlborough Road. Turn northwards on the Old Marlborough Road and walk through to the old standing stone milepost on the left. Turn left and follow the almost straight track to another main track just short of the Netheravon to Everleigh Road. Follow this MoD road through some new plantations and on to the start of a long left-hand bend. Take the track ahead and follow it all the way back to Figheldean Village Hall.
