This walk around Flamborough Head follows the coastal footpath along the top of the cliffs from South Landing, around Flamborough Head to North Landing. There are fine views across the bays and wildlife can easily be seen. During the summer you can see breeding seabirds, including puffins and there is the chance of spotting seals bobbing about in the water. The route passes back inland through the pretty village of Flamborough, a typical North Yorkshire village having all the local amenties. Freshly caught local crabs can easily be bought from here, or from the crab van parked in North Landing car park. Other local fish outlets exist in the village. The remains of Flamborough Castle and the old and pretty church provide an interesting diversion. Note the fishing connections and ship associations throughout the walk.

We started at the lighthouse car park and went clockwise. Nice clifftop sections but a lengthy road section as well which was tedious.. For refreshments there are cafes in North sands, the lighthouse and also in Flamborough(closed). We used the Viking pub near North Sands .Open all day and recommended.
