We begin by following the edge of the dry river bed and are soon tackling a delightful climb along an easy path. Eventually we find ourselves high above Forcall following a ridge path that brings to the view point on Mola de la Vila at about 940 metres above sea level. From there we continue northwards along a ridge path from which we can clearly see Morella in the distance before we curve east to begin a long zig zag descent that will eventually bring us back down to the course of the river. Now it is just an easy ramble back to the start.

We visited the Morella area for a few days, specifically to walk some of this website's interesting routes there. We had great weather (May). This was the first walk we attempted. After a few minutes hesitation as to the correct start point, the instructions and route were simple to follow. The view from the top was spectacular and well worth the climb! The descent was challenging - as per the instructions, proper walking boots and walking pole(s) are absolutely essential otherwise you could easily break an ankle or at least fall on your behind. Nevertheless, this was a great start to a wonderful week of walking!
