Starting off in the village centre the route follows the road to the church which is set back from the main road and a beautiful building dating from about the 14th century. The route then follows public footpaths and a part of the road to head past Liston Hall.

Liston Hall is built on a slight hill so when leaving via the driveway the view towards Long Melford is excellent. The paths heads down to Liston Church and then across open fields towards Weston Hall before taking another footpath along fields to Foxearth Hall. Foxearth Hall is in a beautiful setting with a moat around it.
