This is a truly satisfying walk of great variety, embracing water features, rolling green hills and National Trust heathland, with glorious views.

Walked 14.02.2023 - Directions and photo's remain good. Such a lovely walk, lots of easy parking at the start (Free for NT members if you scan your membership card on the machine). Toilets at the start point and refreshments when the kiosk is open. Perfect walk for any time of the year. 10/10

Walked 21.11.2021. Directions still perfect. This is such a lovely walk with such variety throughout, great directions, easy going and stunning views and woodland. We keep coming back to this time and time again, such a great walk, highly recommended for Autumn and Spring, but would be nice any time of year. 10/10

Walked 06.12.2020. A superb walk with some stunning views and variety. The directions were updated by us on 6/12/20 so should be current. The Frensham common part is particularly lovely but the whole walk is very rewarding. 10/10

A very nice walk with some great Surrey views between WP8 and WP9. The Bridge Cafe mentioned at WP13 is now another establishment. Great caution was needed when walking up Priory Lane (WP14) as there is an indigenous population of large 4x4's in these parts. We couldn't find any path or trail markers from WP15 onwards, so used old-fashioned navigation and turned downhill at SU853407.

The bluebells woods are beautiful this year! The Blue Bell Inn (WP7) has changed ownership, and is thriving - good food, though not cheap. But the former Mariners pub/hotel (WP14) is closed for major reconstruction. A lovely walk.

Many thanks to Richard Clayton for the updates, October 2008. He also wrote: A very pleasant walk, and on Saturday 11th October 2008 I walked it in glorious Indian summer sunshine throughout! The views are still stunning – I have one as my PC desktop.

A peaceful walk through beautiful countryside. The ground is very dry again in spite of the relatively wet Winter, and there are masses of English Bluebells in the woods. The aptly named Blue Bell Pub is open again and thriving, and The Mariners Pub is now called The Bridge. A lovely day out.

Not a bad walk at all. The Blue Bell pub is currently closed for refurbishment (it looked very closed to us!). We would recommend boots at this time of year, very muddy. But a varied and interesting walk and not too long. Nice one! 8/10.

A very pleasant walk - highly recommended. As the description states, there is a great deal of variety and it is worth mentioning that there is almost a 360 degree view at WP09.

DOG OWNERS PLEASE NOTE!! Please keep dogs on leads near the water as several cygnets have been lost to uncontrolled dogs this year. Remember the dogs can't help themselves and the cygnets can't protect themselves so even OUR dogs could do this.
