This is a very enjoyable walk in all seasons. In summer wildflowers and butterflies abound and in winter wild geese can be seen flying overhead. There are no stiles on route. It is mostly tracks and along the Peddars Way path. Fring is an out of the way rural village, with pretty flinted cottages. At Great Bircham the King's Head Hotel gives all a warm welcome; it has a good menu and in 2007 won Camra Best Pub Award. Opposite stands Carter's Farm shop and adjoining, Carter's Gallery where exhibitions take place.

One can stay at the King's Head; for more information ring 01485- 578265. Great Bircham is a central place to stay, not far from Sandringham, the coasts of Heacham and Hunstanton, plus many interesting places to visit nearby such as Bircham Windmill, where you can hire cycles.

Great walk, easy to follow, and enjoyable, but as it says at waymark 6, it may be a little overgrown at times, in early September it certainly was !!!! But still good.
