Visiting the River Stour, lakes and a disused railway track, this walk takes you over farmland from Glemsford, then across more farmland on the Stour Valley Path to the beautiful village of Cavendish.

If you can resist the temptation to do a tour of the village you then carry on through the village of Pentlow. Here are two rare architectural sights - a church with a round tower and a tall tower built as a folly and visible from miles away.

After some country lanes and more field-paths, you next visit the equally interesting and intriguingly named village of Foxearth, where there is another lovely church and pretty cottages. This village retains the feel of old England. From here you carry on via more field-paths and short stretches of lane, eventually to wander back alongside the river and lakes to your start point.

There are two pubs near the start point in Glemsford to visit on your return.
