The northern half of the Isle of Arran contains some fantastic rugged hills, topped by Goat Fell, which also happens to be the most accessible. Most people will probably climb it from Brodick but the steeper route from Corrie gives better views. The path has been recently upgraded, making this ascent easier going than previously.
