The Goyt Valley just north of Buxton is dominated by two beautiful reservoirs, Fernilee and Errwood, which supply water to the Stockport area. This walk gives extensive views along both. It takes you through a pine forest with tantalising peeks of the reservoir below and an open section with views across onto the moors opposite, as well as walking the full length of the reservoir. This is an ideal half-day walk in this delightful area that can easily be undertaken by all the family.

This is a lovely, short and easy to navigate walk. The drive in is beautiful. Dog-friendly - mine had a dip in the reservoir (don't know whether it's allowed!).
