Admittedly it was summer but after Holy Well SO293051 the bracken and brambles totally obscured any path and it was near impossible to traverse. Similarly from SO295042 the paths were very overgrown

Did this walk on the 21/2/2017 although pleasant, there are some things to look out for. Firstly, after the Holy Well, there has been some extensive forestry works which, although not obscuring the paths too much, did make walking quite difficult. Secondly, at way-point 9 it's possible that we took the wrong style off the roman road, but despite much searching across the very steep field, we couldn't find the gate leading down to the stream (although we could hear and see the stream at times.) It took a bit of anxious GPS and compass navigation across the mountain, but we did manage to re-locate the Holy Well pathway (look out for an abandoned white car mysteriously half-way down the mountain!) and then safely back to the start
