This beautiful circular walk takes in a lot of variety along the route. At the start you get a chance to browse the shops at Great Dunmow and have some refreshments before taking on the walk. If you like planes, this is the walk for you. En route you will see many planes in the distance landing at Stansted Airport, giving you some excellent photo opportunities.
Throughout this walk there are some great views through the Essex countryside with some beautiful properties to admire. All the lanes walked were quiet, so traffic won't be a problem.
Apart from the shops and pubs at the start, more refreshments can be found at The Stag pub between Waymarks 26 and 27 (closed Mon-Wed) and The Little Barn Cafe with its children's learner pool between Waymarks 29 and 30.
Between Waymarks 17 and 19 the farmer hasn't maintained the paths, but following my directions with a slight diversion, you will be fine. This is a family walk that won't disappoint.
