This is an enjoyable walk. The pub in Stonebridge is now reopened. Please see Stuart Ballantyne's comment. The walk is through woodland, along tracks and a country lane, an old Roman road. There are wild flowers to be seen, such as foxgloves, dog rose, honeysuckle and speckled wood butterflies, birds such as the green woodpecker.

(June 2006 Please note that this is a woodland walk and Walkingworld recommend you take a compass as well as your map. Recent felling may alter the appearance of some of the route from the photographs.)

Walked this on a very chilly November morning! Found the map useful to pinpoint a couple of directions (point 9 and 11). The walk in the wood at 8 was lovely on crunchy leaves!! Easy to follow and not many people about. We didn't venture into Stonebridge or Great Hockham but just enjoyed the peace and quiet of the scenery! Thank you.

The pub in Stonebridge has reopened after a 4 year closure! It's the 'Dog and Partridge' and is a grand place with cask beer and decent food. 24/12/2006
